This would be useful to me as I could open it with a pure modeler, solidworks, within which I could "examine" it more easily by having more confidence with this program. maybe in step or other formats. opening a stl in sw the solid
that appears is formed by a multitude of "faces" that makes it heavy and full of vertices and is therefore difficult to compare or question through the available tools. thanks to whom he will answer.

hello valeriob, as far as I remember it does not seem possible to export the model resulting from the processing in different format from stl, in that the mastercam verification, which is the usual used by many other cams and as most simulators, is based on a model of triangles as precisely the stl files.

I think with rhinoceros there is a possibility to "solidify" a stl.

Concluding...what do you need to compare the model worked with your finished on another software? mastercam already gives you the ability to perform comparison at the end of the verification 3d, there is only one option to activate within the user configuration.
