ethics of living. new aesthetics of living
- ideas competition for sustainable design

on the occasion of the third edition of the event-shows the house of the ii millennium lawn cna intends to explore the expressions of a new ethical approach and responsible for the design and production of all the elements that make up our habitat. For this reason, a contest of ideas for the design and/or design systems that represent a revolution/evolution of the ethics of living proposes a new aesthetic of living.
the contest and all the events connected to it will represent the opportunity to reflect on the possible expressions of a new concept of sustainability that today does not mean to worry uniquely of energy efficiency of the product or of ecologicality of the materials, but it means to return to the "fundamental" that is to the real value, to the essential function of the objects that surround us.
the contest aims to identify and put into production, by companies with lawn, objects and/or innovative design systems in the context of sustainable design. the products admitted to the contest will only affect the home system and must belong to one of the following 7 categories: * furniture and furnishing accessories * lighting * furnishings and accessories for bathroom and kitchen * furnishings and garden accessories * coating systems, floors and finishes in general * internal partition systems and fixtures * domotic systems, automations and plants.
participation is open to creatives: students, professionals, artists, companies and/or studies, who carry out activities in architecture, engineering and design
prizes among the submitted proposals will be selected 7 winning projects of the contest. the winners will be paid a prize of Euro 1,000,00 to the gross of the tax burdens. the purpose of the contest is to create a prototype for the 7 winning projects and the possible production of the product. the winners of the contest, in fact, will access the workshop of development of the project presented by them. the workshop will be directed by the study of savior re architects, the Dutch architect frits van dongen and some members of the scientific committee supported by the companies of the cna that will realize the prototypes.
the aim of the workshop will be to refine the winning projects in the perspective of the production by the companies of the cna and to make them become an integral part of the preparation of the exhibition the house of the ii millennium that will be held in the urban center of lawn from 4 December to 20 December 2009.
