exploit processor and ram

Hello everyone, having need to meshare a big enough piece with a thick mesh I would like to know if somewhere you can set the hardware I physically have in the dekstop (4 processors and 32 gb ram) in abaqus 6.10 so as to speed up the work.

Hi, Milandro.

look for my experience, leaving out the version of abaqus, I noticed that the machine when making mesh needs data access speed. in fact in many point on the power, but if then the writing on hdd is slow vanishes part of history. Now on the market there are many hybrid hdds, that is with a small ssd that makes you as a bearing in the most intense moments of calculation, not only during the solution obviously!
I know I've been out of theme, but maybe it's an idea that can serve you for the future.
for the sects, I with the 6.10 I have often had problems. My advice is to divide your geometry and proceed for areas. In this way you will also be able to give the right importance to the most critical areas of the model. definitely takes more time to you to study and do mesh but once you understand the proportions will be little. Besides so if the mesh as the outfit you don't like you can always do it again, otherwise you have to wait for the whole model to be meshato.
