Bye to all,

do you have any idea if there is a method in sw2007 to export a set and all its parts to another file format (e.g. step or parasolid) quickly without having to save each part individually? if I save it in sldpart format there is the reference command, which is missing when I change the file format.
Do you have any advice?

Thank you very much.

Hi.
usually when you save the step of the assieme father, it contains within it the geometric definitions of each solid present in the assieme father himself. the cad that will receive the step will then be able to reconstruct the hierarchy of together and the geometry of each component. Usually during this process each created solid is saved as a separate file, if it is a traditional cad in which the axioms are only logical pointers to the aprte files.

if instead for some reason you need to have a separate step for each component, maybe you can do it with the scheduler (now I don't have swx under my hand so I can't check).

file->salva with name->step 214 and generates a single file that contains together and parts.

Thank you so much, I don't need to have separate files, but only geometry and I didn't know that the step of an axieme contained all geometric definitions. Thank you very much
