export dwg from vectorwork: file size too large

Hello.
carry in dwg without any problem vectorworks2010 file in English. I can't understand why every time the size of the file got doubles compared to the original file. there will perhaps be some options to change at the time of export but I cannot understand what it is. Can anyone answer me?

You mean the vw file weighs for example 5 mb and the exported dwg 10 mb? Sorry but it's not clear.. .

I mean that. example: 4.2 mb vw file and after export to dwg in the 2009 version of the file became 7.8 mb. even try to export it in the 2002 version, the file becomes 11 mb.

That's right. export involves a translation from a language, that of vw, to another, that of autocad. the important thing, before export, is always optimize the vw file to become a clean, understandable and lightweight dwg.

It can be useful to remove all items and resources not in use before export (this is always and in any case in all programs) from modification/elimina elements.

a thing that weighs heavily on the designs exported to dwg is the use of vector nets (hatch in English) especially complex ones (tegoles...) in whose autocad management, for example, is much leaner.

if the source file has a very troubled "history", it could be useful to make a copy and paste on new design file to export. It's weird, but sometimes it improves.
