in the "mechanical" section I read today the discussion "new license files...." in which teo83 says that, having had to change the hard drive, the pc now no longer recognizes the license nx and unigraphics asks about 1400€ for the file mentioned above.
I have to change my pc in a short time, I wonder if there is this problem for rhino: do you know anything about it?

I can report how it works for the alibre cad (www.ret.it/aliva).
the transfer of the license does not entail additional costs and in the limit of two movements the process is automatic and immediate without the intervention of a operator other than the end user.
On the contrary, we do not speak for displacement but copying, as they are possible for each license three immediately available autonomous cad stations that only record their possible simultaneous use (not allowed if the user has purchased only one license).
As a matter of fact, the professional or expert alibre user who acquires only one time-limited license has the right, even without an active maintenance contract, to do independently up to three different installations as long as they do not simultaneously use more than one location.
to make a fourth installation and later it is necessary the approval of the dealer that definitively cancels the released license, so that it can no longer be used, to leave place in the database to new installations.
the process is free but asks for the objective approval of the dealer to avoid uncontrolled proliferation.
In this way the user is encouraged to immediately make two installations by license (e.g. office + home), so that the third installation is still possible in total autonomy for the user even the New Year's night (always if the user has nothing better to do... ).
It appears physiological that after a certain time the user can ask to dismiss and replace the hardware and we believe it is correct to provide free passage of the license within the limits of a serene and correct relationship of mutual trust.

reinstall rhino and use the fornic serial number with the dvd after which you remake the recording independently. end of transmission...:finger:
