Greetings to all of you!
I tried to use the "programming operations" application of inventor to export files from .ipt to .step
the system works however in the step files generated besides the file name also remains the ipt extension, to make an example:
if I take the pippo.ipt file in step the name becomes pippo.ipt.step, kindly someone knows how to tell me if it is possible not to make the extension of the source file (ipt) appear in the name of the exported file?
Thank you in advance for your vs. any answers.

rename the file to handle later is too trivial as an answer? :-)

Well it is not bad that in the file there is .ipt before .step so you already know if it is generated by ipt or iam only by reading the file name..io use drawing porter.

what application is it?

if you go to the file->esporta->formato cad menu and choose the step format does exactly what you want.

then if you want this operation you can automate by code (illogic, vba or other), what do you prefer?

Hi.
the options proposed by adahm are correct, the choice you can make based on use, i.e. how you want to use discriminants are:
-for single file
-low frequency of use
-more files together;
-High frequency of use
