good afternoon nice nx users, I looked for the solution to my problem but unfortunately I did not find anything about it, so I address myself directly to you:)
my case is quite recurring: I have a native nx set and I have to send to a client in one prt file (but it would be good also an outgoing igs or stp) all the structure of the product, but obviously without the "features history" (in other words only static geometry) and so that it sees only the external surface, something similar to the shrinkwrap of proe. Is it possible?? How?
Thank you in advance!
Bye! ;)

if for feature instructors you mean the tree of the features used for modeling,
He does that.
both parasolid and iges, and step export geometry but not features.
iges export as surfaces, step and parasolid as solids

if you have the license you do in the environment together insert > offset/scale > wrap geometry
this should generate a function that fills your set and then exports by selecting it, that object.
I do not think you will get the same result as in pro/e.

@ipdesign: really thank you for your answer, I will make an iges to get out of the surfaces and then if the Americans ask me I will convert it into a prt "history free" (you know, they are accustomed well, they want exactly the format they work with, and they make stories also for a simple conversion ...)

@user nx: exact, that's exactly what I meant. Monday I will check if there is a licence to carry out this command, hoping that the operation will end. Thank you 1000!

Bye!

Well, then I recommend a parasolid export.
if they are not surfaces the iges is quite heavy for a customer to manage

hi to everyone, it's the first time I write in this forum. I have always consulted it is you have always helped me with your discussions and suggestions. Thank you.
if you can send me a manual or a vademecum of nx6 in pdf.
thanks and rest available for clarification on pro-e

the wrap assembly creates a very approximate stl species and serves only to display the maximum encumbrance.
try to take a look at the "linked exterior".
This also needs a "large assembly" license.
Bye.

already the command name promises well. I'll do some tests tomorrow, allowing;) thank you!

The wrap is a "cut" surface... I doubt it's okay for you.
In addition, a certain practice is needed in setting the plans.

What you need, as axa says, is the linked exterior... which by the way is the method that uses fpt to pass data to fga...

you are perfectly right, the linked exterior has given very good results and more in the online help are explained in detail all the options of the command. the wrap would be cmq enough to give an idea of the total encumbrance of the axieme, but sometimes even the aesthetics should not be neglected (in fact I then came to know that this object, inserted in a much larger machine, will have some surfaces subjected to rendering).
nx starts to like me:wink:
Okay, then mission accomplished! thanks to all:finger:
