faded external references in autocad 2011

I don't understand, I finally use the 2011 autocad version in the office, but unlike the old version of the 2009 autocad, we can't understand why when you upload a reference the color is faded, it seems almost transparent. with the xdwgfadectl variable you can manage the fade, putting it to <0> you will no longer distinguish the xrif from the current design.
