How do I upload a .sldprt file of solidworks into the cat?

You can't.
you have to move from the step or a translator.
catia does not read solidworks files (the engines of 2 cad are different)

for what I know you have to open it with solidworks and save it as step or convert it I don't remember..... .
If you have no other way and the file size is not excessive I can try it.

thank you, but I would like to find a translator who does not need solidworks installed.
