Hello.
work from a few months in a company where they use inventor 2019.
each file committed is managed by attaching to the name of the part a code (relative to the order to have the reference in the workshop) and a number.
I will therefore have for example as part a dish worked by name 0398-0101 (in bold the fixed number on the contract, in course the progression of the parties).
the system besides having an obvious logical problem (I can't do more than 99 pieces for a job) creates me other practical problems. often happens to have orders with very similar pieces (only some adaptations), but different code (in bold) .
In these cases I am told to use ilogic to create a new project and then to change the names (i.e. the prefix committed) by hand
.... this system as well as seem absurd in 2019, loses too much time (also because often the number part from iproperties is changed by hand) and loses the logic of having a computer that should automate work.
how do you number the "part" and "assime" files in the company?
in the software I used before inventor (which I only use for a few months) the code was inserted directly as the property of the project and appeared automatically in the drawings.
this nomenclature logic cannot be the correct one to use with inventor.
