Hello.

it is a few days that I try to create .stl files to get them printed to my friend who has the 3d printer, the file has nothing and is also quite simple. Unfortunately the result in the press is bad. It's really bad and we don't understand why. other files completely similar downloaded come well and with a much higher definition level than I do despite the fact that they are dimensionally equal (minimum thickness 0.5 etc)

How come someone? Is something wrong when I get out? Does anyone have to recommend the export setting that "better"?

Thank you.

in stl export settings, there are precision parameters, lower are, the better is the result (but also the weight of mathematics), the higher is the more scaled the curves come.
If I don't go wrong, 0.015 is already a great test value.

Yes, I lowered them and the file increased by weight. the turn was when I widened the intervals between a vertical extrusion and the other. to understand us imagine a wall with columns embossing each other by x. with an x too small the columns were badly deformed or all paraded. expanding the spacing now come well. The problem is that I find some indications about the technical characteristics... Does anyone have experience?

in my ridiculous experience, even with very precise export values, the yield is however influenced by the general form of mathematics and the printer, I happened that for embossed writings, I had to choose type of character, size and spacing dedicated to the printer, otherwise there was not to get a result at least "decent".

I do not know your software, but in stl exports it can happen that the "triangoli" are too "diraded" or too "slim", like with a relationship between one side and the other even greater than 1/100, and this definitely does not help. in the software I use you can fix these things. and cmq once exported a stl, a look with "meshlab" I always give it to him.
If you could show a file came wrong (even just a few pictures, if you don't want to attach the stl) in view "nude" type wireframe (not with shading/shading, I hope to be explained) I can take a look

Okay, I solved, both of your last considerations are real, and it seems to be taking into account...
setting the tile properly the result improves widely.
