how would you model a network like that?
In practice it is a "panino" of two ironed sheets with a net of square mesh inside, all bent to follow a path.
I have now solved at the "exthetical" level but, thinking about how to shape it (obviously without alternating the wires of the square network), frankly I have arose.
it will be the summer that hangs with some neurons already on holiday, but I don't see the solution. . .

Frankly, I would never do that. What you've done is so much.
If I had to, I would try to use the command of a flat-shaped network.

Of course, at the table level it would not be necessary (although however I will have to do a detail to make understand how the network is constituted), but at the "didactic" level I think it can be a good exercise. . .
the fold could fuzion but it becomes complicated when you have a twenty folds, some different between them...
another "approval" can be obtained with the command "grill", but it is a projection along one axis, which therefore does not remain perpendicular to the surface.
