Maybe it's not autocad you need to generate fonts? Would a font editor be more indicated? Why did you post in a cad forum for this question? with autocad do not generate fonts, at least that I know!!! then you can do a thousand other things.... how to draw the symbols you need, export them to bmp and then convert them into the fonts editor program; assign the keyboard letter, save them in the ttf format, or other, and then, once you define the new font: insert it into the system fonts.... at this point you can use them as text, quotation etc...

If you show us the example of the square would be much more explanatory than the difficulties you encounter. try to post an example file, which we look at it calmly and clearly.

It does not seem so easy as a solution, it would be a question of making letters like other characters (which are symbols or letters does not matter). and this only in the typing of attributes.

It's exactly so, for some simple symbols, like arrows I can handle using those already in the fonts, but for others that are not expected I don't know how to do. That's why I thought of building a special font that contained non-letter symbols or numbers.
as I said in the previous message, for certain characters happens that by pasting the symbol, from the map of the windows characters, in the attribute this does not recognize it and instead of the symbol displays a generic square.

to solve the problem until now is to use a different block for each case that I can predict and as often there are combinations of more than one symbol over time I created a library of over a thousand blocks. obviously with problems in choosing the right block.
But now I have to find the way to drastically reduce the number to streamline the choice and use.

What do you mean by "combination of symbols"?
Make an example.
You should also study the "forma" command ("shape" in English) and also the mkshape command of the express tools: I think they do in your case.
