Good morning, trusting in the infinite wisdom and patience, I will be able to ask for help again.
ask us to make a food machine (built in Italy and destined to Italy), 2006/42/ce tells me that for the parts that will go in contact with food I will have to read the
1935-2004-ce
2008/39/ce amending 2002/72/ce
777/82
I read them and, in short, I understand that every type of material (plastic, steel, rubber, ..) intended for food contact has one or more lists indicating their suitability or not.
I think "excellent, I just need certification to its suppliers so I can then declare in my turn that my machine respects the directives and therefore is certified" ... I make some request and send some emails and ....
and here begin the problems:
most potential suppliers identify "food" with a white material (as if white meant suitable). . .
others say in words that the material is food, but do not know how to certify it or cannot .... (??? ? )
others still ask for high sums in order to have the laboratory certificate of the material (among other things we don't need a true certificate, we just need a declaration of fitness, is it said so right? or just a brochure? )
my questions then focus on the last category, that of those who answer me with a certificate/declaration fda or with a 2002/72/ec (which has been modified from 2008/39/ce):
fda statement can be used for machines destined to work in Italy or, how do I think it is simple paper rag?
the declaration 2002/72/ec can be used for machines destined to work in Italy or is useless or incomplete since it has been modified from 2008/39/ce?
Finally, the supplier who "publicizes" a product like food and then does not provide the declaration of conformity is obliged to provide it or is optional?
In case, what's the risk? (i.e. who controls who/what? )
