Hello everyone,
I'm making a 3d finite element model for my graduation thesis. the model in question refers to a 10x15 concrete beam with 2 8-rings at the bottom. the model is supported and the loads are two forces of equal symmetric intensity compared to the half-works (it is a cutting test).
I have to make a break calculation taking into account, if it is possible, the cracking of concrete and the cutting collapse (the model is designed because it does not collapse at the moment stinging).
I have problems in inserting the stress deformation curve and therefore to understand how ansys handles the model I am studying a parallelepiped stuck on a face and with a uniform pressure on the opposite face.
the problem is that, while being all the active nonlinear parameters, the deformations that I get by increasing load values follow a linear law. I'm saying this because I did hand-cuffs to check.
I thank everyone who tries to help me
