from company to technical study

Good day to all,
I have been working on mechanical design industrial automation for the most part automotive, all spent in the technical offices of the companies for which I served.
"Today" I have a new opportunity but it is not a manufacturing company but a design stucco.
how you would assess this opportunity being aware that you no longer have to do in everyday life with the underlying production, that in good or bad returns that touch of personal satisfaction.
In the absence of the fact that it is a well-established and growing study, do I suffer the risk of repenting?

a technical study, especially if working with many customers, allows you to space on multiple areas; from iron and steel to carpentry, from shipyard to structural for buildings, from automation to design. You would learn new things, business approaches, new stimuli new satisfactions in short.

if the study is solid, if the manager is reliable and if in the passage you gain it economically fail.
you will also gain professionally, because you will have a way to make more design in the strict sense (when you are at the dependencies of manufacturing companies unfortunately the design that you do is to send forth production), so much the "practical" design you have now acquired.
