from reality to 3d model

Good morning, I am greedy and I have the passion of modeling; Since I know how to use rhino and I have a 3d printer I have already dabbled into creating spare parts and small parts of 3d models through my printer.

Having, a dear friend of mine, a laserscanner lighthouse cam2, with attached software scenes, we thought to make a scan, not too challenging, to a signal we were going to reproduce. I know it would be easier to draw it from 0, but I still wanted to choose a simple and linear project to introduce me into this new technology.

I managed to recreate the cloud of points in the above software and export it to . , now how do you advise me to proceed? I attach a screenshot of the cloud of points I would like to turn into mesh.

Good morning deymey. I do 3d scans for work. to manage scans use geomagic design x. but they are very expensive software. Alternatively you can look for leios of the egsolutions but also costs this even less than geomagic. If you need only to test download the demo for 14 days, however it seems strange that the cam 2 software does not allow to transform a cloud of points into mesh. consider that usually before turning it into mesh you have to filter and optimize the cloud to clean it, reduce noise, chiduere holes and more. difficultly it will be ready for 3d printing without having it first adjusted and optimized.

there is zw3d importing cloud point,fa mesh to cad etc.. at an affordable price

I don't know at an affordable price. reverse engineering software cost a lot but at low cost it is not if there is anything. I used rapidform, geomagic and leios all paid software

I have geomagic design x 2016 and zw3d 2018 and I used them both and Chinese (zw3d ) at a human price does a great job
