Good morning.
I contact you since for a few years along with my father-in-law we use gbg draftmaker 6.0 for amateur projects (objects for exhibitions on the American War of Independence) we have a license of the program with its parallel hardware key.
recently we went to a new desktop computer with windows 10 without parallel port, but knowing how to use only that version of the program we did not feel (also for a matter of cost) to switch to other software.
we then installed a startech pex1plp pci express (pcie) x1 board with parallel port in the new pc.
we then proceeded to transfer the program (we no longer have installation disks) to the computer creating a folder on c:
the program seems to start, but does not recognize the parallel key connected to the door.
there is to say that not having precisely the installation disks, in case it was a driver problem, I can't understand which files to search on the old computer (I don't know if among you maybe there is someone who can tell me the names of the files to export).
by failing to recognize exactly the problem (can be the unsuitable parallel card or driver problem or both) we wondered if you think you can buy a usb key instead of the parallel one and if this might solve the problem (you have any idea how much it could cost?). we contacted think3 but they haven't answered us yet. . .
Thank you very much for the help you can give us!
Michael
