generation spherical shell

Hello, everyone. I must realize a figure that looks a lot like a tank for natural gas (cylindrical with spherical cap).

Here's my problem in drawing the cap. I designed a circle arc using the tools --> points and lines command, then I guess I should do the same by generating an elliptical arc, but I can't...

Hi.
Let me understand... do you want to make a spherical tank or with the cylindrical central part and the two "heads" to spherical cap?
In both cases I think you just create the profile you want and then extrude it according to a circular axle system.

If you place a sketch or a dwg I can be clearer and possibly drive you better.
