Hello, everyone.
I am making a small gis for iphone and ipad.
this is the link, not yet active (the app is waiting for approval ):http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mymap/id495566117?l=it&ls=1&mt=8In the meantime I wanted to look for ideas to finalize the project (now it's general purpose, and rather simple ) and especially sponsor for the project (I mean that if you need a gis iphone/ipad application for your particular project and are willing to partially finance the project, this could be a good opportunity )

I'll try to answer everyone.

Hi.

Gis says a lot. I do topography and would like to see if your app can be exploited in my field... in this case they would send to p... so many super expensive tools... :biggrin:

How does everything work? You could say more to someone who has no experience with the iPhone... .

Thank you:

frankly, the idea is to integrate it with desktop applications (I'm working to integrate it with a design system I've made );
the app can export its format (which then is a kmz of google earth) and in the same way if you receive a file via email that recognizes, clicking on iphone asks you to open it with mygis that import the file content in the map.
the functionality of the application is basically positioning, moving, managing attributes and deletion of graphic elements (as attributes has a single table with two fields, title and subtitle, for compatibility' with google earth, I thought in the future to insert more structured information within the subtitle field as a fragment xml, which then roughly is what you do with google earth but in html)

The news is in operational mode:
- insertion with drag&drop
- two operational modes map (one for insertion and attributes, the other for movements and deletions ), so that operations are very simple
