handrail in plate

Good morning, I'm trying to figure out how to draw a 40 mm wide plate handrail 5 mm thick, so that it can be developed, to be applied to the scale in photo.
I tried to create a spiral that follows the development of the supports, but I can't continue.
Do you have any idea how to do that?

hi, to make a maximum calculation, you need to have the two diameters, internal and external of the handrail, plus the step of the solenoid. The handrail is like a cochlea.

Thanks Marco, I know how to do it in theory, but I need to find a way to develop it in solidworks.
