helical scale

Hello everyone, I congratulate you on the forum, I press that I am a young gemetra working in the branch of aluminum frames and that of cnc plasma cutting and just on this I would like to dwell! I would like to understand how to design sheet metal helical scales, i.e. I would like to be able to draw in 2d a scale to cut plasma and then be able to assemble it in 3d!!! Thank you.

Hi, they're not hard to get
with 3d and a little fantasy ... follow the regulations
and the game is done,
I made 3 of different foggias and I'm a show
a square of 1300x1300 self-supporting.

I think it is better to design it directly in 3d (for example with rhino), then export it to 2d.
