help on loft

It looks so cool! Now I try to interpret and reproduce on my true dis,
But one thing will be different: I miss the connection between part of the horizontal roller and the conical one inclined.. I mean, I'm gonna miss the surface to lean on. . .

that fitting you put it in the sketch of the tape profile; the function leans on sketches, not on surfaces. . Look how well and where I did the sketches.

I simply took your file and cleaned it from all those plans and axes you had built (I would like to know that you had to..:biggrin. I added the conical heads to the big roller and from the intersection with the passing plane to the tangenza point I obtained the profile of the tape, drawing with quotas and equation a width developed of 180 mm.

I still wiped out a mess of stuff and everything went too:biggrin:, indeed better! then I put myself on tape with constant width even in concave traits but I stopped when you posted yours.

I looked at your file and the result you would have got it with fewer profiles and a sweep.
the path a straight line and the two guide curves that made the shape of the v.

it was not necessary to use the delimitation surface, you could use the loft.
the difference between the two is that the loft does not handle the tangences on the driving curves.
because your driving curves did not need such tangences, you could use the loft, definitely more performing.
