help search graphic tablet

hello to all, I would need a kind help,
I work with my father, use me10 on windows with mouse and I have no problem,
the problem is my father who still works on a hp unix workstation of 20 years ago with his graphic tablet from 14" with all the commands above, he fails to move to windows as he is not able to get used to the mouse and has absolutely no time to put there weeks if not months to take the hand (ha me10 also at home on windows and does not manage cmq).
how you will understand it is not the best to work on a same archive on 2 different machines although on the net, in addition, I hope never, I fear that sooner or later the old hp deceda. .

now the question,
is there any way to find a graphic tablet for customizable technical drawings so that you can recreate a work interface known to him?? What models?

I think you will first use the windows interface and create a whole series of
icons that reflect the controls and layout of the tablet.

Do you want to make it all video?? I think it is beyond that complicated even unfortunately useless in the end...(which then the work area would become very small). .

I don't understand the problem.
large tablets are still on the market and customization is done by the program that uses them.
At least, with autocad it is so.

He thinks I did it on my little wacom tangerine (a6 ), putting only the autocad commands I needed.
the limitation is certainly not in the tablet, at most it is in the program.

from the manual on the web
" me10 allows you to use either a mouse or a calcomp tablet, kurta or summagraphics, including calcomp models 33120, kurta is/one, summagraphics summasketch ii or summagraphics summasketch iiii. "

for the rest I have never used tablets so I don't know exactly how to plan but your message gives me hope:

looking between the various me10 folders on windows I found me10 files called tablet_overlay and opening them are exactly the representation of the sticked sheet on the tablet currently used on the unix drive..so I suppose it is expected to use it also on .. No? ?
someone who has already done something like that on me10 win? ?

until not long ago I had a full 715 working, now I was just the "cassettone" for tape backups with its hpib cable. If you need it I give it to you.
on the European market (Germany) and American is still a lot of stuff, on ebay you can also find some used cars.
see the layout of the legendary hp tablet made me come the magician!

I tried to contact the wacom support and they confirmed that in their tablets it is not possible to customize the work area. ..this answer after I explained everything to him:
"It is possible to assign to the keys of our tablets some limited commands but it is not possible to divide the area of our custom grid tablets"

I did it by customizing the .mnu file of autocad.
I think I was the only one in the world to set my first tablet like that:biggrin:.
I used the office summasketch 12x12 with all the icons similtuopadre and I had to go to the yard with the laptop without ever getting used to the menu on the screen, so I decided to replicate on the stamp to6 the most used commands.
I confess that I used it with that layout very little, I then managed to get used to the icons on the monitor and I removed the printed leaflet from the tablet.
the tablet a6 still use instead of the mouse, with a resolution and precision that no supermouse has yet reached.

Unfortunately there is no hope to get used to it, only tell you that rather than use (and it is installed) me10 on windows of the house pc (work also at home not enough in the office), you brought a hp sister workstation of that here in the office..ti mando pm
