help typing wall length

Bye. I started this week studying revit 2010. My problem is this: When I create a horizontal wall my manual says type 100 and your wall will be 100' long. I type 100 and he writes 100 on the vertical but the length of the wall does not vary. Am I wrong?
with archicad if I type a value he instantly stretches me the wall.

could be a wall height problem and its visibility or coverage from other elements. check the data in the properties of the element and maybe put an ad hoc section to see and check. . .
