that semi-transparent grey is possible to obtain it with some command in order to highlight, not only one component (com happens with the active command), but more components together?

if I choose from the tree a component and follow the commands as described arni1 does not occur what I asked (to give some commands in sequence is not difficult...) but it only changes the representation of that object, while the rest remains as it is. What's the part of the command I can't use?
