how do i open .cad files?

Good morning.

I am new to the forum and thank you for accepting me in your community.

I'll write you because I have a problem. They gave me some designs saved with the .cad format that I can't open. I actually managed with the mcad program that I have an old license but it starts in demo mode as I can't find the hardware USB stick anymore. I tried to print them in pdf (the program allows me), convert them into jpg and then turn them into dxf but when I open it in autocad the design vien out but lost everything (quote etc. etc.)

Can you help me convert them to dxf or dwg format? I hope there's a solution.

What is the native program?
why don't you ask the client the files in dxf or format you can use?

Maybe it's a matter of levels displayed/lighted?

Another attempt you can do is to use the iges 2d format, if these cads support it (when I had exported cadra files ( .cad extension) in this format).
