how is a straight helid?

hello to all how do you represent a straight helid of any size with the Monge method? I know that you start from a circumference and report points in second projection but with what criterion? explanations or an image would make me clear thank you in advance

I don't know if it's the method of monge or mouse or pluto....magari su google c'è scritto.
However, if you have to draw a helid, i.e. a solid in the shape of a helix with a defined section (circular, rectangular etc.) I would say that you have to build both for the inside, and for the outside or only for the middle section value the propeller as here attached the construction.
