when I used to support the air, I felt a discussion about the coffee machine (so take it for what it is...) in which they said that the engines (at the time the ge90 was in design...) were sold with 99% discount, so much the real business was on maintenance.

really interesting and valid point of view.
seeing the "technocratic finance" at work in a serious way makes you feel at peace and optimistic, despite the tangles that turn into political finance.

It is true, perhaps not with those proportions, but the cost of a motor is worth a tenth of the value of the whole operation in 10 years.
