how to exclude a component from a view and others

hi, I have 2 views on the table; one is a profile and the other is derived from the profile. It's the table of a set of ten components. in the derived view I would not see 3 components. I'm not talking about the 'exclusions' in the sections, it's not dissected. Can someone help me?
