how to verify if a solid has been emptied

after emptying a known cylinder that if I do not click above with the mouse, I do not see any result as from image qui.
question, do you think the solid is really emptied?

as you modeled it you were emptied inside, as if it were a sealed jar.
if you want to get the effect of a tube you have to delete the caps

Okay, thanks for the alternatives, so confirm that directly with emptying is not possible? or better, if that were possible, then I should erase the caps... What I wouldn't know after how to do.

Excuse me. gp, as rightly pointed out ♪ in the post above, the procedure you made is the same as I did before; this however previews an emptying solo all'interno, instead I would like to get a result like "tubo" with the command empty (always if it is possible to do so).
Last thing, using the mode-solid command doesn't give me the chance to select the second face... from f2 comes this:

is not the same, you at the request "Remove faces or [Annulla/AGgiungi/TUTTE]:" you pressed forward, without selecting the faces to remove and exclude from emptying, look well the procedure I posted.

to the request select the upper face of the cylinder, then rotate the view in order to see the face below (shift+rotellina) and the selections.. .

you are fully right!!! I found that it was enough to select the first face, rotate the view, select the second face, and here is the game is done. My compliments, Mr. Gp!
