Why the escalation created in the family window using the command, creates > empty > ...bla ....bla...., does not elicit (not empty) ?
verifying in the properties of the groovy (the solid/empty I mean) seems to me correctly as a subtraction solid but remains there inerms with its very sad orange color.
this with revit 2013.

If an object does not behave as we want there could be a thousand reasons, one on all as it is designed from the point of view of the programming code .

a subtraction solid does not cut a guest (wall for example)
and it is right that it is so for many reasons (but this is another speech)

If you don't cut it, there's a geometries command that solves the problem.
