Good evening,
I turn to you hoping that some more experienced user of me can answer.
from how I understood solidworks (version 2022) in the environment together associate with the parts an id, such id is a number that takes into account how many times you have inserted a component in the axieme. up to here nothing strange, inserting for example 10 screws m3x30 to each single screw will be associated a number from 1 to 10. the problem arises when you delete a part from the axieme because the software continues to keep in mind the progression of the id. resume the example of the 10 vines if I went to eliminate the tenth vine (id 10) for reasons and always for n. reason I had the need to reinsert that type of vine the new m3x30 vine that I will insert will not have associated the id 10 but 11.
Now my question is: can I somehow force the id of the part? going to the properties of this I find the word "id variant" but I can not overwrite the number.
I know it's not a real problem, but I'd still like to try to understand the matter more thoroughly.
thanks in advance of the answers.
greetings
