image as texture

Bye to all,
I am new on this forum, despite often finding solutions on these pages to problems that attracted me.

I have written because I cannot find a solution to the problem that has arisen today; premitting that I am learning recently to model with catia, following some tutorials I found on the internet.

the tutorial I'm facing today previews to insert an image as texture on a surface but, and it's not the first time, when I execute the operation my images are deformed (in particular, as if they were compressed horizontally)tutorialaereo.webphas this problem come to any of you?
Is there a way to solve it?

Thank you very much

Hi.
Do you want to apply an image on a surface to use it in rendering?

specifies the workbench that works and sends the image of the command used.

Hi, gianni,
in this tutorial I have to apply an image on a surface to be able to recalculate the curves.

the working environment is the "generative shape design" and, as a command, I limit myself to extruding a line to get a surface, so I stick the material and as a texture I insert the image I need.

this is the video of the tutorial:contrary to what happens to him, when I stick the image on the surface, it turns out how I know it was crushed long x

the image I use is square, with a 1000x1000 resolution and I realized that the x-long compression of the image is proportional to the resolution of my display.

I ask myself, therefore, if it is precisely the resolution of the display to deform the image and if, in that case, I have to change some casket setting.

Thank you.

Hi.

you don't have to look isometric, but a view parallel to the surface when you import the image.

then pay attention to the parameter of the mapping (I think it should put the cube), and the first 2 parameters must be chained to maintain the proportion.

Let me know.

Hi.

Hi, gianni,
Also doing as you say, I still respond to the problem of x long compression.

at the moment I managed to solve it with an unusual procedure, but it seems to work:

first I extruded my line to get the surface, so I applied the material and set the image as texture.
of course the image is crushed in x (note the scale)estruso1.webpI then copied and glued the surface (with a double) and... the image was strangely arranged automatically.
I don't know why, but it works.. .estruso2.webp
