I must insert the photo of an archaeological object (a pin) in autocad, displaying it in real size (13 cm) and then make it over a relief.
question: how do I bring the object back in real size? until I get the image input, I know I have to use the scale command, but then I can't continue. Would someone explain me step by step how to do it, since I am not so practical of autocad? I also read elsewhere in this forum, but I couldn't. It's urgent enough, thank you, I'm desperate. . .

scale with reference

practically after activating the Scale command selects the image, sending, fix the base point, then type r, sending, click on the image the two pin points distant 13 cm, type 13, send.
at this point you defined that the two points of your image must be at 13 cm and therefore all the object has resized

if there is so much difference between the imported image and the one that must be in the meantime you can act directly on the properties of the image, clicking and acting on the scale voice. If you don't find the item you can customize the box by adding it. then, an alternative procedure, which I use great for maps, is the one with the command "allinea".
try to believe...

Thank you very much, I managed to... But I still have a small question: If I have well understood, when you select the image at first, you have to select the whole photo, you can't "retire" only the object that interests you, eliminating maybe the "overboards". In practice you will then establish the measurements only of the object you are interested in doing as you explained to me, and autocad will bring the whole photo in scale, right?

Yes, the whole picture is taken to scale. it is possible with the cropaimm command to delete (hide) the contours that do not interest.
but the scale involves all the photo and not just one particular. . autocad is a cad software, it is not photoshop.
