you can import both a dxf and a dwg (saved in auocad 2000). if you type: file, import from file, create new document; by default amounts a .dwg, if you go down with the side scrolling to the format you will see, if you have all the licenses in order, that you can import all existing file formats 2d and 3d, of course dxf included (for which you should not need license). but if you've never done this, it means you have to pay attention to this indication: on the bottom right in the import dialog box if you scroll through an additional window where the two file creation modes are displayed, if you want to import the geometry then create surfaces/solids, you must select (model) otherwise by default create a .elt 2d file that I presume is not what you want. selected then model and selected on the top left the path where to withdraw the file (in your case where you saved the dxf), create a .elt (3d) toptron will ask you to give a name to the file, and the game is done.
