import autocad files into illustrator

Hello everyone, I'm a first-armed student, so I know little or nothing for now.
In practice I do not understand how to pass an autocad file of a plant in scale illustrator...so that there are taaante identical questions and by now I have also seen them all (I think, they could have escaped :wink, I tried to open the file in any format possible and I can open the file in illustrator... I can open it in the sense that I no longer appear the format error... the window appears to import. . .. but probably wrong I import settings, I tried a little all combinations to intuition and or turns out white the sheet or you see a series of overlapping lines that form a single and a writing that actually was in the file...I don't understand what I have to do, someone help me:'(thank you very much in advance

if you want to insert a autocad scale plant in illustrator (i.e. very close to the scale of your print) you have to follow a few steps:
in autocad make a rectangle covering your plant, i.e. a4 (21x29,7), or a3(42x29,7) etc. for other formats.
eliminate from the drawing colored retinals and what else can cause annoyance to illustrator, in summary only closed forms in polylinea.
save possible to maximum with autocad format from 2000 to 2006,
open new format illustrator insert worksheet size to the rectangle described above, import dwg file,
and of course if you know how to use illustrator you will adapt the rectangle with inside your drawing to the sheet format you have established to work, now you can work on it, insert retini (if you have in autocad of closed forms) etc etc.
generally it is advisable to work in autocad with simple forms of closed polylinese, and then complete the whole in illustrator.
