Hello guys I have a pretty strange problem with 3ds max 2011... I press that I performed this operation at least 100 times. . .
I would like to import a dwg file on which there are several connected xrifs. So classic "import" command. As soon as I open the window where various options can be chosen in "geomotry, layer and spline" I realize that there are no layers contained in the xrif...and there are many.
I always did the usual steps and often found myself importing models with xrif...but I never did this. ..I only see the "zero" layer and "defpoints" unique in the file we say source...but the rest is not present. . .
importing cmq drawing by selecting only the layer "0" I charge cmq all the desired model...but of course I'm not given the possibility to exclude the layers from the xrifs I don't need. . .
You think the mistake where it is? (autocad or 3ds??? ? )

Thank you very much for your help

hi, I think it is not a problem of max ne of autocad, in the sense that for how external references are conceived the file is imported with layers only of the source file. ...because in import in 3dmax, references are not connected to the source file, but united!!and then you lose the layer division....you could try to import dwg references directly with the "file link manager", or as "normal" dwg, but I think importing external autocad references 1 to 1 in 3dmax, you should solve the problem....I hope I have been helpful.... ...

importing one to one but need to set the point of origin and equal units for all, but in fact it is strange that it does not
