good evening to all, I found a problem in importing a 3d file created by autocad to inventor, practically the model displayed perfectly in autocad in inventor instead deforms. Does anyone know why?

I have another problem. I got some stp files from other program. in importing them inventor sees only surfaces and fails to correct them.

Usually the problem is because the surfaces are open, so either fix the surfaces or give you a "good" step. I recommend the second, since to fix the surfaces could take a long time.
It also happened to me and after throwing away hours to fix surfaces for the negligence or unsavowingness of others (hours that then so much do not pay you) now, simply, in these cases I do not take the job, so by experience would be a remittance.
