what you want to do is feasible by copying the table and changing the model references in the table itself.
for example create the component "a" with the table "a". copy the "a" component to "b" and change it. cover the table "a" in "b".
from solidworks press the "b" selection and press the reference button, replace the "a" part with reference to the "b" part.
