I cannot understand how I can stop the inheritance of a material applied to a product so that it is not applied to some part.
can you prevent the process of heredity without applying/specifying a new material?

It's true!! Those who have a head formed in an environment don't get to do things out of normal!! to me would never have thought of assigning a material at product level! .

However through the product properties you can access the material inheritance to the parts.

Clearly if I don't check materials even to other parts don't get the rendering of the parts (normally you assign the material to the part), so I don't know exactly what it can serve... can only be useful to estimate the weight of a set in case you want to replace the material.
