insert an image in scale 1 /1 of reference

hi to everyone, can you insert an image in scale 1/1 in sketch environment, then can you draw us over the geometry getting a faithful result to the object of the image? I explain, I would like to take a photo in the plant to a particular plastic (modellism) then import it into catia in sketch environment and, start drawing having the reference in scale 1/1. In this way I could retrace in precise manners the basic geometry in its real size.

hello and thanks for the answer, but you mean inside the drawing board and, later when you write create the lines and paste into sketch environment, how exactly do you proceed? Finally, a photo can be taken from different distances and this affects the proportions of the same, so I wonder, how do we make sure that the image proposes the actual size? sure that the image depends on the distance and will be more or less deformed, in fact the result will be approximate and will be only an aid to the drawing.. .
the image you will have to scale, to do so you will have to measure a reference edge on the piece and climb on the cad until the same edge in the draw will reach the measured.
surely you will have to do it for more edges so reduce errors.

right excuse to check if I understood correctly, the photo the amount on an empty table, then I take with the caliber a dimensional reference of the object of the photo, then how do I add the image on the table? intervening on the properties of photography or stretching the image by hand until you find the optimal proportions? then cover the segments created on the table with under the reference photo and take them on a new part in scketch environment?

Leave the photo still, make the drawing and then the steps and put it in the sketch
