I have the following problem:

I recently use revit, and I should import a dwg file.
I tried to import the cad file but, after it apparently uploaded it, on the "sheet" I don't see anything.
I have to set the visible layers, the position inside the plants and the unit of measurement, but while varying these parameters, I see nothing.

I checked with the command looking for discussions about it; I found them, but the problem of the discussions found is not the same as mine.

Maybe I'm wrong?

how to do this correctly and be able to see the imported dwg files?

specific that I tried to use both " import cad" and " colleague cad", but nothing.

Thank you very much

make sure that the measuring unit is set correctly, then try to right-click within the drawing area and choose it fits the window......you can also verify that the dwg has actually been loaded from imported view>visibility/graphic> items.
Hi.

Thank you, lance.

I checked the measuring unit is I did the procedure to import the file, but while adapting to the window, I don't see the autocad file loaded.

In addition, in the visibility of imported objects, I guess I didn't upload the file.

Where's the mistake?

greetings

and with the parameters placed in correspondence of and only current view as you are placed....maybe you post an image with the settings you use so we verify better....in the first post you talk about visible layers try to import them all...it seems strange not to you even care there is something that doesn't fit

Hi.

I attach the image that depicts the screen for importing the cad file.
I tried to replace visible layers with "all", but no news.

The only thing I can import is pictures.
I can't even import dwf. . .

Hi.

p.s. what do you mean by "current view only"?

seems ok...for only current view=import only in active view of revit..
I don't know... did you do evidence with other cad files and/or other revit projects?

What version are you using?

I tried to "connect" a revit file and I can safely.
I can't "connect" instead the usual cad file.

banal question: is it not that I have to create a file similar to autocad "prints" that attributes a line trait to each color and therefore to each line so as to see the traits in the correct way?

use the revit architecture version 2010

Hi.

I solved the problem thanks to revit present on another pc:

from another pc station, I can upload the cad file; then save the project and open it from my pc.

so I can work on it. .

Thank you.
