kind colleagues,
I have to start using nx and the first thing to do is... install the program!
the university of pd has a series of licenses available, although no one has ever employed the program, so that I decided to install it yesterday on the machine assigned to me (intel i7 3930 + nvidia framework 4000 + 32 gb ram).
the problem arises when, after the installation of the actual program, I have to install the program that manages the licenses. yesterday it didn't take time to leave that it stuck saying:
you may need to reinstall a supported java virtual machine.

I went to the java site and installed the version:
java 7 update 40 (7.0.400)

in this case, after a moment, the installation interrupted by returning the message:
this application has unexpectedly quit
invocation of this java apllication has caused an invocation target exception, this applicaton will now exit.

Can any of you, very kind, help me??? here nobody knows anything about anything.. .

thanks and greetings,
Christian

Unfortunately, nowcle continues to excavate the jvm.
try to lower to "half" or "low" the level of protection.
another attempt is to use the update 25.
other thing to do is uninstall nx and install the flexlm first.
I also remember that maybe we released a new jar to remedy the changes of java made recently, but this was true for the "search" of thehel if I don't remember badly.
I have j7u25 + nx8.5 and I work everything... Are you sure you have the right version of the flex for 64 bit? rather calls customer support.

you have to choose the language of installation "English" otherwise with "Italian" gives java error.
during installation you can choose the languages available in the program.
to set a language add the ambient variable ugii_lang=italian

I hope you do.

Is it possible to draw a license on the main office server from a laptop with remote connection?

Some things must be configured but in principle one should succeed, but it is necessary that the company has an internet connection with fixed ip to refer to and that the system administrator configures the firewall to allow data exchange from a specific port

you can also do without static ip, using one of those services like dyndns.org or similar. I usually do it with the cocreate license server and it all works regularly, at least until there is a minimum bandwidth available.
