part of the international competition pro cardboard design award, which rewards new ideas in the field of cardboard and cardboard applications.
the competition sponsored by the European association of producers of cardboard and cardboard pro cardboard has reached its tenth edition.
the works presented may fall into two categories:
• cardboard packaging
• other uses of cardboard (e.g. direct mailing, display materials/sales points).
the contest is open to all European design students, as long as the works presented are not already produced on the market.
students must have completed their studies not before the summer session of 2009.
the presentation of the works to the contest authorizes the jury and organizers to present such works in a public exhibition, and to make publications and promotion of them.
all design, sketches and models will have to be faithful to the proportions regardless of the actual size and application and will have to be made exclusively in cardboard through bending techniques or, possibly glue. are allowed two-dimensional and three-dimensional design.
up to ten jobs are allowed for each organization.
the works in the race must be sent by the next 11 March 2010.
the works will be judged by an independent jury that will consist of professionals of the supply chain: designers and members of consumer brands, sales and paper industry.
in each category will be awarded prizes to the winner, second and third ranked.
winners of each category will be invited to spend a week at a well-known European design and packaging agency.
There will also be a one-week training course with four participants classified in the second and third place, as part of the Europeann pro carton academy.
