Hi.
Does anyone know if the sp04 of 2009 solves compatibility problems with internet explorer 8? in the update it is not clear what problems go to solve.. . .

I took a look at the list of solved sprs and internet explorer 8 is not really spoken. What's wrong with you?
However they solved an avalanche of errors.. .

on my pc I was very careful not to install it (explorer 8) but a colleague of mine did it and created many problems in startup... we hope that now goes better.

to me explorer 8 with sp3 on x64 gave a sea of problems.
many were related to the use of pdm but in general I would say that explorer 8 and sw2009 sp3 are not compatible

to me explorer 8 with sp4 on x64 is giving me an avalanche of problems.

I can't use any tools that need intenet.
When I fail to connect to the 3d content libraries... it throws me out with a mistake. if I try to make verification updates does not happen anything, no window opens, if I try to clikkare on some connection like "question forum" or "customer portal" throws me out of the program.

I'm still waiting for an answer from my dealer

with the sp04 we no longer had problems with explorer 8.
Now there is also 4.1, but I don't know if they have taken care of this again, surely with the 3 they worked badly.

my dealer instead strongly advised me to uninstall the ie8 and reinstall the 7.

I solved all the problems

from the download section of the website sw about the sp4.1 of 2009:

spr: 480083, solidworks crashes on startup on x64 os with internet explorer 8 installed.

I can confirm that in this sp sw2009 and ie8 are compatible - both x32 and x64
