hello to all: I have a question to ask you:

currently use ip 2008 on a notebook hp 8510w with card
nvidia picture fx 570 m + 4 giga bite of ram (although xp only sees 3.2)

I would like to go to ip 2010:

any of you use 2010 with a portable workstation? If what?
with what result and at what price... ?

my car had cost € 2200 + VAT in 2007.

last thing: my assemblies are max 500-1000 parts -excluding library parts
that I enter only for verification ingombs.

thanks for the attention

I am answering you from a hp 8710w + 4gb ram + nvidia q fx1600m + win xp 32. (December 2007 - 2.100 € + VAT)
the type of axioms is similar to yours.
I mounted simulation 2010 but I'm not using it in the orders.
It moves quite well, but I'm afraid that to stay more quiet I should have 8gb ram (which cost a casino ) and have 64 xp or view.

Bye.

I installed inv2010 on the laptop hp nw8440, 2gb of ram with video card ati mobility v5200, and for the moment it works pretty well. I don't have great axioms like yours, but when I used inv2009 with piping (I far exceed 1000 parts), it held well.
Hi.

I do not see differences of "heavy" between the last versions, indeed 2010 seems to me perhaps a little faster, especially in the passage between different environments (study, simulation, etc...).
According to my experience there is no need for 8 gb for medium size assemblies, they are more than enough 2-3 gb, having more than remain unused do not speed up the computer, the most important component is the video card, possibly certified by autodesk and with a lot of dedicated memory.
