mark that, through the desktop autodesk app, you can install inventor 2022, already in Italian (beyond, of course, to the other components of the suites).
simplified the installation procedure, but it seems to me to be less customizable. if you don't need to download the whole suite but you can download/install only the components that interest you.

very curious to try the "model states". They seem to promise well...

I have not yet installed but the model states seem interesting for some uses as long as they do not remove iparts in the future and iassembly what I heard say.

I used little iparts (I admit I can't make a solid comparison), but at first sight and from a webcast, the model states (for parts and assemblies) seem very versatile and easy to manage, with the great advantage of the unique file. . .
and I agree that it seems that in the future ipart and iassembly are destined to be removed: I imagine that however they will maintain the possibility of using old files or that they will provide a tool (if there is not already, it is to be checked) for conversion into model states. . .

I installed version 2022 and from the first impression it was made a big step forward, I worked for 16 years with solidworks and those that inventor calls model states I missed a lot.
I found only a limit right now but I don't know if I'm wrong with something in the procedure:
I have the need to affect in the various details configured of the short descriptions, but I have seen that although managing the iproperties in a punctual way for each configuration, I can not connect them to a text inserted in a sketch and at the same time manages punctually the parameters for each configuration but solemete dimensional and true/false but not the text, which I can insert in a sketch.
is I already facing the problem and if I have to open a new forum?

I also rely on the information of a webinar, the substantial difference is that with the model status the file is unique while with the iparts are one per item. I am thinking of using it in the center as it will react, as soon as I have time to test

I can't answer you because I haven't installed the 22 yet, but I don't want it to be a limit of the model state, which you wouldn't have with iparts, in the end (if I understood the problem) are suppressed/visible according to the need

I'm testing and it seems that in the standard you can't, the only system I found is not very elegant and is to add a note with director on the surface of the piece, in this case you can recall the personal information of iproperties. I do not understand why they have excluded the possibility of acede to iproperties text in sketches.

hi andrea thank you, it is true but you cannot parameterize in the various configurations (tabella excel) a text parameter.
I tried to create a parameter in excel proposes it but when I go to put it in a sketch not various annution of the configuration.
I don't know if I'm wrong
