Good morning.
I searched on the forum in general, but I did not find any kind of discussion like that, a customer asks me to provide them with a virtual prototype in unigraphics format.
I have always worked in inventor; to customers normally provide the step (.stp) and the tables in pdf. required waves, I supply the natives (.iam, .ipt) to be able to change them. now, this customer in particular wants in unigraphics format to be able to change in the future 3d,
my question is; if, and how can I satisfy the customer using inventor?

Thank you in advance.

hi, you can't do what is required to you.
nx has formidable tools to edit file-shooters, it also depends on their cmplesity.
I have experience of files converted by software that use parasolid as 3d engine (and it is not the case of inventor if I am not wrong), and the result is really miserable as soon as the detail becomes a little complex or adopts modeling techniques not foreseen in nx.
I hope to be denied by some other user but I doubt it.
Hello there.

Bye.
to understand:

you have a model made in inventor and you want to convert it to ..prt because who wants the model wants to change it using the parametric history it has but on mx?

And that's what you want to do?

theoretically yes, it is clearly not me who will work on nx but my client in case of future need.
